As part of NgREN’s core mandate, capacity building activities are a common feature. NgREN organises regular stakeholder sensitization meetings, operational readiness workshops and also uses its video conferencing platform to leverage existing capacity within the member community in the conduct of technical training in various areas. NgREN also has arrangements to channel some development assistance from other NRENs and regional RENs into capacity development for member technical personnel.
In addition to the aforementioned, the on going integration of member networks into the NgREN has provided the opportunity for building technical capacity in Network design and IP management.
